NEWSFlagship Marinas, Inc. Selects DockMaster
Atlanta, GA – October 08, 2008: Flagship Marinas, LLC announced that they are well on their way to implementing DockMaster Software across all seven marina locations in an effort to consolidate their accounting and business management operations onto a single system. The Atlanta-based holding company owns marinas in Georgia, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Mississippi and Texas. “We evaluated a number of systems prior to choosing DockMaster”, said John Stadler, President of Flagship Marinas. “We ultimately chose DockMaster because of their financial stability, their expertise in supporting multi-location marine businesses and their strong references throughout the industry.” DockMaster Software has been supplying business management systems to the marine industry since 1984. Their formula for success centers on their deep knowledge of the marine industry and the many years of domain expertise they have amassed over the years. DockMaster provides systems for boatyards, marinas, marine dealers and various marine service businesses. “The addition of Flagship Marinas validates our move to deliver products and service that cater to multi-location marine businesses”, said Cam Collins, President and CEO of DockMaster Software. “Companies like Flagship are in the process of aggregating single location marine facilities in order to create a branded marina product recognized for superior customer service.” Once the software is purchased, the rubber meets the road during the implementation. This is a very critical phase that will determine the success of any enterprise software system in a company. This phase must be managed by a team with strong project management skills and knowledge of both the software and marine business processes. The fundamental key in having a successful implementation is ensuring that the stake holders on both sides are invested in the success of the project. To ensure the success of the system roll-out at Flagship Marinas, they decided to bring on an independent software consultant to oversee the software selection process and the implementation from an IT perspective. “We are so glad to be moving to the DockMaster platform”, said Richard Bachman, the independent consultant selected by Flagship to oversee this process. “I am very impressed with the professionalism and thoroughness of all the people we have worked with so far.” About Flagship Marinas Flagship Marinas is a privately owned company and comprised mainly of individual investors.
